About
Amelia (Millie) is a Clinical Psychologist registered with AHPRA. She completed her master’s degree in clinical psychology with Distinction at Queensland University of Technology. Millie enjoys working with children, adolescents and young adults in their 20s, with a particular interest in OCD, anxiety and trauma. Millie brings warmth and compassion to her work. She takes time to get to know her clients and understand what they would like help with, recognising that talking about difficult thoughts and feelings is not always easy.
Her practice is neuroaffirming, with therapy adapted to each person’s communication style, strengths and support needs. When working with children and teenagers, she involves parents and carers where appropriate so they can support progress outside sessions. Millie primarily draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
